Overview

In response to shifting media landscape and the need to reach a new generation of digital-native audiences, I championed a major digital expansion effort across YouTube and Instagram for Cyberchase—PBS KIDS’ long-running animated math series for kids . With declining broadcast viewership and a surge in on-demand video consumption, the goal was to build a sustainable digital presence that could extend the series’ educational impact and foster direct engagement with families and fans online.

DIGITAL CHANNELS

YouTube

As the official Cyberchase channel on YouTube, this provides educational and entertaining content aimed primarily at children. With a focus on math, problem-solving, and environment themes, the channel features numerous animated episodes, engaging lessons, and fun challenges that aim to inspire curiosity and learning.

INSTAGRAM

Launched in 2023, the series' account @cyberchase.official engages the series' parents and teachers, and taps into the decades of nostalgia among lifelong fans. It features a variety of engaging posts including vibrant images and short videos of characters, educational activities, fun challenges, and interactive stories that invite young users to learn through play. In less than two years, the account has reached the top-5 follower counts among PBS KIDS series on IG.

PBSKIDS.oRG

The PBS KIDS website for Cyberchase features a variety of videos that include episodes of the series, interactive games, and educational content designed to enhance children’s understanding of math concepts in a fun and engaging way.

PBS LEARNINGMEDIA

PBS LearningMedia offers two free-to-use classroom resource collections tailored for K-5 educators: Cyberchase Math Collection | Cyberchase Environmental Science Collection

IMPACT

This project reflects my ability to lead a legacy broadcast brand into the digital era with a strategy rooted in research, cross-functional collaboration, and mission-aligned innovation. I built systems, launched new channels, and created content that not only met the moment but laid the foundation for long-term growth. The experience deepened my expertise in digital media for kids and reaffirmed the importance of meeting audiences where they are—with content that’s both educational and engaging.
